Little DumaTau
Overview
Situated just to the north of DumaTau on the same lagoon frontage, Little DumaTau is a haven of sophisticated elegance in one of the best wildlife corridors in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve. Its position allows easy access to the Linyanti Swamps, Savuti Channel and Linyanti woodlands. Centuries-old submerged elephant trails are the cause of the parades of elephants either crossing the waters, bathing or drinking – often visible from every vantage point in camp.
Little DumaTau is located close to the source of the Savuti Channel, with access to expanses of floodplains and rich mopane woodlands, thus offering an excellent combination of habitats. Well known for its concentrations of elephants as substantial herds congregate along the waterways and lagoons during the dry winter months. Additionally, the area is renowned for general wildlife including red lechwe, Burchell's zebras, giraffes, buffalos, and warthogs. Predator sightings of lions, leopards, cheetahs, African wild dogs, and spotted hyaenas are good.
The architecture and interiors remain true to the essence of DumaTau; stylish and elegant, with a sense of off-the-beaten-track exploration. This intimate camp offers an unparalled Linyanti safari experience with sumptuous guest suites. All four tented suites present a private plunge pool and comfortable lounge, featuring a capacious bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers. The main dining and lounge areas boast its own wide-angle vistas, while a walkway leads through the trees to tranquil Osprey Retreat for wellness and rejuvenation in the spa, gym and lap pool – shared with DumaTau.
